What time do you leave for a fishing charter?
Full day and morning-half-day charter will be leaving the dock at daybreak. I suggest arriving about 15 minutes before daybreak to get situated with you food and drink on the boat. If you booked an afternoon-half-day charter, please contact me for the estimated departure time as it can vary during the year.
What should we bring for our fishing charter?
This will vary depending on the time of year. In general you will want to being water or other beverages of your choice. Some food to snack on or have for lunch. Cameras, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen are encouraged for sun protection.
Polarized sunglasses are the best for seeing the fish. Remember that there is a good chance of water splashing. The salon will keep items dry.
Clothing will vary by season and weather. If fishing in the earlier spring or later in the fall, consider proper water repellent equipment to stay dry and warm. In the summer, lighter clothes can be worn.
What about the weather?
Mother Nature provides weather from time to time here on the Outer Banks. Captain Andy is always monitoring the weather as any captain should. Please touch base with the captain to determine if the trip needs to be rescheduled or cancelled due to weather.
